RBC Lysis buffer (10x)

This hypotonic solution causes osmotic shock due to the fragility of the red blood cell membrane and tears the red cells. In many experiments, RBCs are interfering and need to be removed from the laboratory sample.

When only red blood cell content analysis is needed, RBC cells can be lysed with this buffer and their contents analyzed.
